The new dual and quad core Intel Pentium four Processors has an eight hundred megahertz quad pump. This enable data to process four times as fast per clock cycle, and a transfer rate of two bytes of data per instance giving a throughput of a hundred megahertz front side bus. But before we get into the Pentium chip details, I would like to tell you about three benefits of using dual or quad Intel processor and how this new technology advancement will create greater productivity for your business environment: First, Hyper Threading Technology increase work performance, Second, The Dual Processor gives a business optimize computing power, Third, Multitasking enables a Business to do more in less time.

The Hyper Threading Technology is a feature invented by Intel three years ago that makes a processor appears to be two processor. This action creates a more efficient utilization of the processors resource. In a single processor environment supporting Hyper Threading Technology, the single processor presents itself to the operating systems and or applications as dual virtual processors. The single processor is now able to work on two different tasks simultaneously, using resources that normally could not be use by the processor without the Hyper Thread Technology. Now more work can be done in less amount of time. The Intel Xeon sixty four bit processor workstation with dual processor for example will generate quadruple the amount of processing speed of a single processor using the Hyper Thread Technology. This new computer platform is able to handle a greater multitasking environment, increase input and output memory requirements and large data sets. Also the new Intel Pentium D processor for Workstations provides greater resources for managing multithread applications, while processing e-mail, security task and other applications in the background.

A business will totally gain from the advent of dual processors in the area of computing power optimization. A dual processor usually has to two independent computer processors in the same chassis located on the same mother board.
